Pick It And Stick It: Let’s Get Ready TOOOO

boxing

Okay I can’t quote that exactly but I think you get the point.  This week we go from the backswing of the season to the full on, follow through punch to knock ourselves into the College Football Playoff.  Teams are teetering and are starting to fall (Ole Miss).  This weekend others will fall as room for error is no more.  We will find out who’s Rocky and who’s a tomata.  Ding. Ding.

After a slew of weekends at the Austin City Limits Music Festival, I’m happy to report I am back and I am ready to eat.  While the music was fun, the Saturdays eating some tasty crazy concoction while watching college football were well missed.  So what kind of delectable dish do I have in store?  Some Hatch Bacon Popper and Ham Quiche!  No, not two dishes, but one tasty dish! Let’s get started. Continue reading KCCGD Football Feedings 2014 Week 08: Hatch Bacon Popper and Ham Quiche

Pick It And Stick It: Better Late Than Whatever

better-late-than-never-detail

Yeah I’m a little late with this one, but I’ll blame ESPN College GameDay and ole Lee Corso for my tardiness.  Hey, what can I say I really wanted to see which head he puts on his head.  So it’s lightning quick pick it and stick time.  The big one is the early one and there’s another to cap the night as well.  Let’s put our pants on and fix our hair real quick and get to this. Pick It And Stick It: Shpilkis In My Genechtagazoink

SNL_0808_Coffee_Talk_EST

Oy Vey! This weekend of college football will be like buttah!  And that’s enough Saturday Night Live reminiscing, because I’m just tired of that show anyway.  We still have college football, but no football feedings again.  I’ll be doing my darndest to watch but there may be gaps.  Guptah!

Football Feedings 2014 Week 02: Super Stuffed Biscuits And Gravy

img_0644

It’s Farmageddon week and there’s no better way to kick off the second week of college football than with some early morning vittles.  So this week we went with some biscuits and sausage gravy, but with a twist.  We will make a meal and STUFF it in the biscuit before we cook it.  It’s the only real way celebrate Kansas State and Iowa State’s farm bred rivalry.  Let’s do this. Continue reading Football Feedings 2014 Week 02: Super Stuffed Biscuits And Gravy

Pick It And Stick It: Morning Farm Time

farmageddon2014

I grew up in Kansas, but I’m no farmer.  Shocking right?  Well not really, but I have grown to love the rivalry that started all Great Plains rivalries.  Yup, I’m talking about Farmageddon.  It’s yearly tradition where Kansas State takes on Iowa State.  It’s also very early in the year.  It’s like getting up at the crack of dawn for the college football year’s day.  There’s other games, too so let’s get started. Football Feedings 2014 Week 01: Armadilla Pork Ribs

img_0541

Hey you know, why not?  I thought about not doing one of these this year but I’ll be damned if I didn’t get an electric grill for my birthday.  So now I have plenty of new recipies to try out this fall.   With that said, I’m back and the grill is hot!  This week we’ll do something I’ve been itching to do for a long time, both main and side dish wise. Pick It And Stick It: It’s For The Birds

wildcateatingjayhawk

It’s Friday and it’s late.  I successfully avoided Black Friday and took the brunt of Thanksgiving yesterday.  I took a day off yesterday and am now finally recovered enough to spit out my finger pickin’s flakes of college football destiny.  Thanksgiving was a day for family and this weekend it’s been a family of rivalries.  Heck I’m watching the Civil War at the moment (that’s Oregon vs Oregon State).  We get more rivalries tomorrow and it’s time to give thanks and give picks to see who comes out on top. KC College GameDay LiveBlog 2013 Week 08: In And Out

in_n_out_burger

Yup, Kansas State is not playing so I will be in and out for the day.  Never fear, however, as I’ll probably watch some tasty ACC matchups tonight with Florida State heading to Clemson.  Chances are I’ll be flipping to USC and Notre Dame too.  The Big 12 and yes, Missouri, are already going so I’ll be throwing my two cents in when I can.  Well, I’ll be throwing in my double doubles when I can that is.

Purple Yeti Roar 88: Lots Of Goodbyes This Week

goodbyeguys

No, I’m not leaving.  But apparently alot of other people and organizations are.  This week’s PYR will go over the very tiny sample of games I watched over the weekend and also talk about what’s moving and shaking outside of the field.  That includes Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Trevor Knight, Blake Bell, Tommy Reese, LSU, Clemson, NCAA, Penn State, Big 10, Jim Delany, EA Sports, Mark Emmert, Texas, Mack Brown, and DeLoss Dodds. Pick It And Stick It: Getting Kinda Flakey Here

pick-nose-guy-book

Whew my picks last week stunk.  It almost stuck as much as my pick for Kansas State over Texas.  Yes, it was for the spread and yes, they didn’t make it.  So how am I going to recover this week?  Fortunately Kansas State is off so I don’t have to worry about them.  There are some Top 25  matchups that could smooth the blow and get me back on the road to recovery.  There’s also a nice little non conference matchup that will be exciting as well. Pick It and Stick It: Coming Up Dry

indynosepcking

Last week wasn’t too hot for me but at least I had the Game of the Century of the Week called.  In fact, there were so many great games last week, I almost didn’t mind that I did pretty dang poorly in the picks.  Well, I hope this week I hit hard on my picks because the slate of games looks pretty dang dry.   Let’s see what we got. Week 2 is over and I actually got to sit down and watch games.  Because of this, the world and cosmos aligned back up.  Although there is still a bit of an issue with quarterbacks.  Watch me talk about that as well as Kansas State, Jake Waters, Daniel Sams, Louisiana-Lafayette, Texas, BYU, Big 12, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Baylor, TCU, Casey Pachall, Trevor Boynkin, Jadeveon Clowney, ESPN, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Miami, Notre Dame, Michigan, and Tommy Reese.
