Yeah I’m a little late with this one, but I’ll blame ESPN College GameDay and ole Lee Corso for my tardiness. Hey, what can I say I really wanted to see which head he puts on his head. So it’s lightning quick pick it and stick time. The big one is the early one and there’s another to cap the night as well. Let’s put our pants on and fix our hair real quick and get to this. Continue reading Pick It And Stick It: Better Late Than Whatever
Welp even though I missed last Saturday due to some sweet Austin City Limits Music Festival action, I was able to see some of the destruction. Man oh man, last week is what makes college football so special. Upsets a plenty. So college football needs some relief and we have it coming up this weekend. Yeah I’m a weekend two for ACL but I’ll be hoping to catch a bit of sweet football while it’s going on.

Oy Vey! This weekend of college football will be like buttah! And that’s enough Saturday Night Live reminiscing, because I’m just tired of that show anyway. We still have college football, but no football feedings again. I’ll be doing my darndest to watch but there may be gaps. Guptah!

It’s an easy method to take advantage of. Yesterday in my Dart Picks for the year, I explained that I was too busy/lazy to get anything together. That helped me avoid the blowout out by (shudders) Kenny Football and Texas A&M over South Carolina. I’m already up on the year! Let’s see what that cache will garnish me here for the rest of the kickoff weekend. Continue reading Pick It and Stick It 2014 Week 01: I Saved Faced By Waiting Until Today
Hey guess what? I’m back! No Purple Yeti Roar, no previews (yet), and not much fanfare. Let’s be real here, I’m distracted by the the Kansas City Royals actually being in a pennant race. But also I’m tired of the vlogging business. Plus the picks and the feedings felt a bit tired. But I’m back regardless with some tasty predictions. Continue reading Dart Board Predictions for 2014: From The Ashes Comes A New Set Of Arrows
Whoah man I hope you got to see the kind of football I got to see yesterday. It was all over the place and it was all super exciting. Rivalry weekend lived up to its name and I recovered just enough to talk about it. Watch me talk about Thanksgiving, Texas, Texas Tech, Oregon, Oregon State, Florida, Florida State, The Game, Ohio State, Michigan, Brady Hoke, Duke, North Carolin, ACC, Notre Dame, Stanford, Tommy Reese, Missouri, Texas A&M, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, BCS National Championship Game, Big 12, Baylor, TCU, Iowa State, West Virginia, Kansas, Kansas State, Jon Hubert, and The Sunflower Showdown. Continue reading Purple Yeti Roar 97: A Weekend That Rivals No Other
It’s Friday and it’s late. I successfully avoided Black Friday and took the brunt of Thanksgiving yesterday. I took a day off yesterday and am now finally recovered enough to spit out my finger pickin’s flakes of college football destiny. Thanksgiving was a day for family and this weekend it’s been a family of rivalries. Heck I’m watching the Civil War at the moment (that’s Oregon vs Oregon State). We get more rivalries tomorrow and it’s time to give thanks and give picks to see who comes out on top. Continue reading Pick It And Stick It: It’s For The Birds
It took up until the last remaining weeks of the season but ESPN finally felt it worthy to grace their college football presence in Big 12 country. All it took was a still undefeated Baylor and a one loss Oklahoma State to do it. And boy that will be a shootout. Kapwing! We also have a couple of tasty Top 25 match ups and a HUGE game for Alabama as they take on Chattanooga. Let’s get the show started. Continue reading Pick It And Stick It: ESPN College GameDay In Big 12 Country? Finally!
I don’t know how I managed to get that song stuck in my head, but gol durnit it had to have been something to do with the past weekend’s action of college football. Watch him and hum my way through topics like TCU, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas Tech, West Virginia, Iowa State, Baylor, BIg 12, SEC, ACC, Florida State, Clemson, Associated Press Top 25, Missouri, Florida, Georgia, Vanderbildt, Tennessee, South Carolina, LSU, Ole Miss, Auburn, Texas A&M, and the BCS Standings. Continue reading Purple Yeti Roar 91: Back To Life, Back To Reality
Whoa man I am so glad Kansas State doesn’t play football this week. I’m recovering from Austin City Limits Music Festival last week and I’m just ready for some good football and nothing on the line for yours truly. Peering at the schedule it looks like it’s a great non committal weekend for me. Some tasty top 25 match ups and enough Big 12 action to fill up the whole day Saturday. Continue reading Pick It And Stick It: Pouncing On Picks Like A Tiger
So it’s the game of the century this weekend and I decided to kick it up a notch by cooking something that both Texas A&M and Alabama can share. Well, also it’s a victory lap for Kansas State’s win over Louisiana-Lafayette. Yup, I’m cooking some cast iron Godzilla Gumbo. Maybe next week it will be some clam chowder for the Wildcats win over Umass. Who knows? What I do know is that the saison from South Austin Brewing Company made gumbo so sweet. On to the ingredients. Continue reading Football Feedings 2013 Week 03: Godzilla Gumbo
Week three is in the books and we found out who’s for real and who crapped their pants. Alabama is real and Johnny Football crapped his pants. Jake Waters is real and Texas crapped their pants. Lots of poop talk and future poop talk this week as well as talk about Big 12, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Texas Tech, TCU, Iowa State, Iowa, CyHawk Trophy, SEC, Ole Miss, and the BCS National Championship Game. Continue reading Purple Yet Roar 86: They Crapped Their Pants
Alrighty, after a quick hit at the gym and a scary finish to the Michigan vs Akron game and I’m ready to fire up the LiveBlog. We have some slow cookin’ to do today but I will be there for the Game of the Century of the Week: Texas A&M vs Alabama. Also, I’ll fire up K-State.HDTV for the Kansas State vs Umass game and perhaps the Mississippi State vs Texas game on the Longhorn Network. Good times are ahead so let’s get it started.
It’s a little late but I’m back for some predictions and nose flickings by the way of Pick It and Stick It. It’s been a roller coaster year for my team, Kansas State, but we also have some peaks and valleys for others. I’ll predict just what will happen going into the weekends with no accountability attached to it. Yes, I’ll talk about this week’s Game of the Century as well. Continue reading Pick It and Stick It: Dangling Game of the Century
I’m a little late but hey, I was on vacation. After all the action that took place, I was kind glad I missed it. Watch me talk about Kansas State, Texas, North Dakota State, Big 12, Georgia, Clemson, Johnny Manziel, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, and Michigan. Continue reading Purple Yeti Roar
