Week 3 came and went and we are finally getting adjusted to the new points system.  I can say with confidence that I finally understand confidence.  So now that we are all settled in, college football gets all turned upside down.  So USC and BYU bit it hard.  Who’s next in the sights for the upset bullet?  Ah, this is why we have pick it and stick with the added bonus of confidence points.  I don’t know who coined the phrase, but whomever it was they were correct in saying that college football is the only sport where the playoffs start in week 1.  Now THAT’S a bracket I can have fun filling out.  Here’s the abbreviated version:

The Purple Yeti came back strong this week after doinked picks last week. It wasn’t enough to knock off Katpak at the top spot for this week’s win. Mangino is FAT!!! kept things tight, like he always does, and tied up with the Yeti at 155.  Everyone else fell a little behind, with Krizzou making up the last of the pointed picks.  Chuck was out of luck this week as it looks like he forgot to set picks this week.  Maybe next year we can have one week to not count for such situations.   Let us know what you think in the comments below.  Polly want a Tinkle doesn’t like confidence but enjoys picking so keep it, girl!

And here are the overall standings for the group.  Chuck’s misstep led the Purple Yeti to creep up a spot.  Let’s hope Krizzou will forget next week.  Meanwhile at the top of the heap, KSU finally makes a bowl again is holding to the strong lead built up in the first two weeks.  Katpak makes a big run off the great week this week.  The rest are kind of clumped together.  This next week should be interesting with the amount of upsets we had last week.  Then it gets really tight with conference play coming up.  We can’t wait for Saturday to get here.
