After a turkey induced coma, I’m back! It’s the last big week of the season. Yup, it’s championship weekend! Except for the Big 12. They have a kinda, sorta, championship weekend. I’ll be personally overseeing this as well to make sure it’s kinda, sorta, awesome. But until I make that trip to Waco, I’m going to run down how I think things will shake out. Continue reading Pick It And Stick It: Championing The Pick
So it’s Thanksgiving weekend which makes it kinda funny that it’s also Hate Week. We give thanks to what we have in this world and what’s to come, but at the same time we also unleash the rivalry hatred that builds up within us the whole fall. It’s quite exhilarating. We have joy and, half the time, have some hate joy. I can’t explain it. I’m just enjoying the ride. And the turkey. Continue reading Pick It And Stick It: Stuffed With Games
This week of football was Kansas State-less so I decided to try some tasty giblets or another land. The results were not what I expected but the taste was beyond what I thought it would be. On the field, it was about as all over the place performance wise so it matched the madness that I created with grit cakes. Yes, I did a South dish in the Midwest. Continue reading Football Feedings 2014 Week 12: Gushy Grit Cakes
Kansas State is off this week getting ready for the big Thursday night match up against West Virginia, so I got a swath of college football to watch that doesn’t feature my favorite team. But there is a good handful of important games as well. The biggest of which being a game from the SEC. I’ll take it, but I’ll be doing it with a heavy cow bell heart. Continue reading Pick It And Stick It: Clanga I Guess
Okay I can’t quote that exactly but I think you get the point. This week we go from the backswing of the season to the full on, follow through punch to knock ourselves into the College Football Playoff. Teams are teetering and are starting to fall (Ole Miss). This weekend others will fall as room for error is no more. We will find out who’s Rocky and who’s a tomata. Ding. Ding.
Yeah I’m a little late with this one, but I’ll blame ESPN College GameDay and ole Lee Corso for my tardiness. Hey, what can I say I really wanted to see which head he puts on his head. So it’s lightning quick pick it and stick time. The big one is the early one and there’s another to cap the night as well. Let’s put our pants on and fix our hair real quick and get to this. Continue reading Pick It And Stick It: Better Late Than Whatever
Oy Vey! This weekend of college football will be like buttah! And that’s enough Saturday Night Live reminiscing, because I’m just tired of that show anyway. We still have college football, but no football feedings again. I’ll be doing my darndest to watch but there may be gaps. Guptah!
What a weekend it was. A loooong weekend. Yup my team played on a Thursday night so it’s a long distance feeding. But that didn’t mean I didn’t pay attention to the games and fun on Saturday. So sit right back, crack open a coffee drink and let’s go on a long trip of food and college football.

Hey you know, why not? I thought about not doing one of these this year but I’ll be damned if I didn’t get an electric grill for my birthday. So now I have plenty of new recipies to try out this fall. With that said, I’m back and the grill is hot! This week we’ll do something I’ve been itching to do for a long time, both main and side dish wise. Continue reading Football Feedings 2014 Week 01: Armadilla Pork Ribs
It’s an easy method to take advantage of. Yesterday in my Dart Picks for the year, I explained that I was too busy/lazy to get anything together. That helped me avoid the blowout out by (shudders) Kenny Football and Texas A&M over South Carolina. I’m already up on the year! Let’s see what that cache will garnish me here for the rest of the kickoff weekend. Continue reading Pick It and Stick It 2014 Week 01: I Saved Faced By Waiting Until Today
Hey guess what? I’m back! No Purple Yeti Roar, no previews (yet), and not much fanfare. Let’s be real here, I’m distracted by the the Kansas City Royals actually being in a pennant race. But also I’m tired of the vlogging business. Plus the picks and the feedings felt a bit tired. But I’m back regardless with some tasty predictions. Continue reading Dart Board Predictions for 2014: From The Ashes Comes A New Set Of Arrows
Yup, Mack Brown resigned from Texas. Speaking as a K-Stater, I will miss him. He was so easy to coach against. Watch me talk about that, Nick Saban, BCS National Championship Game, Sugar Bowl, Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl, Alamo Bowl, Oregon, Kansas State, Michigan, Brady Hoke, Devin Gardner, Daniel Sams, Jake Waters, Oklahoma, Alabama, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Big 12, SEC, and Jamies Winston. Continue reading Purple Yeti Roar 99: We’ll Miss You Mack
It’s Friday and it’s late. I successfully avoided Black Friday and took the brunt of Thanksgiving yesterday. I took a day off yesterday and am now finally recovered enough to spit out my finger pickin’s flakes of college football destiny. Thanksgiving was a day for family and this weekend it’s been a family of rivalries. Heck I’m watching the Civil War at the moment (that’s Oregon vs Oregon State). We get more rivalries tomorrow and it’s time to give thanks and give picks to see who comes out on top. Continue reading Pick It And Stick It: It’s For The Birds
Yeah I was out of town this weekend, so I didn’t get to see much football. I did, however, see enough to get a taste of them greasy ass blowout sandwiches. There was plenty to go around this weekend. Watch me talk about Kansas State, Oklahoma, Trevor Knight, Baylor, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Jake Sims, Iowa State, SEC, Big 12, Pac 12, Florida, Georgia Southern, Oregon, Arizona, Florida State, Alabama, and Ohio State. Continue reading Purple Yeti Roar 96: Blowout Sandwiches
It took up until the last remaining weeks of the season but ESPN finally felt it worthy to grace their college football presence in Big 12 country. All it took was a still undefeated Baylor and a one loss Oklahoma State to do it. And boy that will be a shootout. Kapwing! We also have a couple of tasty Top 25 match ups and a HUGE game for Alabama as they take on Chattanooga. Let’s get the show started. Continue reading Pick It And Stick It: ESPN College GameDay In Big 12 Country? Finally!
