As part of our college experience over the weekend, we decided to dust of a word from the past known well to many of us: Dank. What is dank? Dank means wickedly good. Now some of you are thinking, “Hey my basement’s dank. That’s not good.” Nope, we’re talking the type of dank hippies and stoners used to mean some very highly quality tweed. Now this Purple Yeti didn’t partake, but we did fall in love with the word. So this week’s standings are diggity dank and the BCS rankings are somewhat rank.

Speaking of dank, kudos to everyone picking Oklahoma State. That was the only unanimous correct pick for the week. Rank on everyone for missing Ohio State, Oregon, California, Oklahoma, and USC. Man some big boys missed the spread or went down this week. Mangino is Fat called the Louisiana Tech pickas well as UCF and Connecticut. KSOFM called the Indiana pick but missed the Houston pick. Tough luck on Katpak doinking the Virginia pick. These picks were all over the board. Not dank.

The big winner for the week is King of Pop Had A Va-J-J. That’s twice in a row. The dankness is strong with this one. He’s knocking on the door for first place, too. Meanwhile, some weak weeks for KSU Finally Makes a Bowl Again and Katpak show them dropping down to Krizzou’s level. At the bottom of the pile, we see the Purple Yeti and Daniel Thomas is the Man tie for the week. Oh and KSOFM is dropping fast. We have four more weeks to go, who will win it all? Who will win either the glass or plastic Das Boot from Lew’s?

Now in between our haze of Joose and Purple Pride, the games played out and a big shakedown took place for the BCS Standings. Iowa Ricky Stanzi broke an ankle and Northwestern broke Iowa’s winning streak so they gone (down to 10). Oregon had a shot but choked it away to Stanford so they gone (down to 13). Poor Oklahoma and their loss in a defensive battle to Nebraska and they gone (for good). The top six teams in the BCS are all the undefeated teams left in college football. So they get some dank nuggetts for the week.
