This week’s Pick It results are in and it looks as though some people forgot to set picks again. Including me. It’s a new system but what I missed was actually picking opponents on top of setting the confidence. So I was intrigued on the big rivalry game between Notre Dame and Michigan. “It’s just one game. Surely you didn’t get distracted off of one game, right?” You see, it’s more than just a rivalry. Jolly is a huge Michigan and subsequently a Big 10 fan. I used to hear lots of crap about Big 10 this and winningest program that. Being a Big 12 boy myself as well as a former catholic high school grad, it was necessary for me to take the opposite side this week and root for Notre Dame. I even bought a fitted cap to wear for the game. Well it didn’t pan out as I hoped and missing the picks this week only turns the knife deeper. It’s okay, though, everyone likes an underdog and the Purple Yeti just became one. Heck, it worked out for Rudy. Here’s the results:

So yes, the Purple Yeti now knows what zero points for the week tastes like. Double D’s must’ve stopped paying attention already. Too bad. Polly Want A Tinkle picked again this week but alos forgot to set confidence. Yikes. As for the real game and the pick sets, everybody seemed to got alot of the same picks wrong. No one went with Houston or Bowling Green to keep it close or upset. They all picked the Kansas, California, Oklahoma, TCU, and Cinncinnatti games right. The rest seemed to veer one way with a couple of straggles picking the other. Sometimes that worked, sometimes it didn’t. The biggest surprise came from Krizzou notching 17 confidence points on San Jose State beating the spread. So close for Utah. There must be about 4 or 5 BCS busters this year. Anywho, here’s the standings:

And here’s the updated standings. So much like Oklahoma last week and Ohio State or Oklahoma State this week, the Purple Yeti takes a hit early and must climb his way back into contention. KSU Finally Makes A Bowl Again is the clear favorite for the league and it will take everyone, including the Purple Yeti, to scratch and claw their way back. Kaput and KSOFM are duking it out. More than likely that tie will break next week. Krizzou and Chuck have to dance the same mamba this week too as they’re tied as well. Mangino is Fat!!! holds on to a one point second place league. The pack hasn’t separated yet so most everyone is in it. Oh and a quick note, Notre Dame is no longer ranked and Michigan returns to being ranked. Dangnit.
