Pick It Standings 2011 Week 13: Locked Shut Early

We have one more week to go, but things are pretty much locked up by now.  On the Pick It and Stick It side, Bryce Brown for Heisman pretty much has it locked up.  BCS wise, it looks like the heavens and earth have shaken and bubbled up a rematch between LSU and Alabama for the BCS National Championship Game.  Ugh.  At least for the BCS there is an outside chance for Oklahoma State to throw a wrench into the gears.  So let’s take a look at the standings for the next to last time this year.

Standings

Rank Pick Set Name Total Dropped W-L
1 Bryce Brown for Heisman! 175 30 175-111
2 Keltron3000 168 31 168-119
3 TCU Travel Agent 167 33 167-119

Yup, there he is.  Bryce Brown for Heisman.  He’s going to win it, you know.   No thanks to me.  In my turkey induced coma last week I completely forgot to set my picks for Friday’s game.  Doh!  I was going to pick Arkansas to beat the spread anyway so it wouldn’t have been that much help.  I did come in second for the week, behind Keltron3000.  Now second place is a tight race.  I fear, however, it might be over unless someone forgets to make some picks.  It’s my only hope for the week.  Now let’s check out the BCS Standings.

LSU and Alabama are #1 and #2 by a long shot.  There is a matter of the SEC Championship Game and Bedlam this weekend.  Granted, Stanford and Virginia Tech are not to far behind the Cowboys, but everyone seems to think Oklahoma State has the only shot.  I hope the rematch does not happen.  Back in the Big 12, Oklahoma is on the other side of Bedlam and they stand at 10.  Kansas State is right behind at 11.  Interesting note here.  If Oklahoma State wins then Kansas State may go to a BCS bowl, if Oklahoma wins, Kansas State could fall to the Insight Bowl.  Of course, you win and your in.  Except for Alabama.  Rounding out the Big 12 is Baylor, Texas, and Missouri.  Baylor and Texas face each other this week and nobody cares about Missouri.  The last weekend of the regular college football season should be a fun one.
