Well, lookie here! It’s a barspotting post! Yup, unannounced too. I was up in Dallas, Texas (North Dallas specifically) and had some time to kill before I went and saw the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary show. So what with it being college football Saturday, what better chance would there be to hit up a good local bar in Dallas? That’s exactly what I did when I went to the Redrock Bar and Grill. Pick It And Stick It: ESPN College GameDay In Big 12 Country? Finally!
It took up until the last remaining weeks of the season but ESPN finally felt it worthy to grace their college football presence in Big 12 country. All it took was a still undefeated Baylor and a one loss Oklahoma State to do it. And boy that will be a shootout. Kapwing! We also have a couple of tasty Top 25 match ups and a HUGE game for Alabama as they take on Chattanooga. Let’s get the show started. Chilling Out After Being Stuffed
Man I”m chilling here in the ole home office watching some old episodes of Doctor Who and reflecting on the long holiday weekend that was in college football. I didn’t go anywhere and opted to be completely lazy. Turkey day was a smash and I ended up falling asleep pretty fast on the couch. The NFL games were exciting for once. But there were two full days of college football that I had to watch. I’m not sure I remember much so I’ll be short and sweet on this.
Magnifying the Expansion Part 2: History Lesson Time, Kids
Yesterday we laid the groundwork for the expansion drama that’s girdling up the loins of college football at the moment. Today we are taking a look at how the history of the Big 10 led us to this point. There’s over 100 years of data to go over, but we are blowing through the earliest parts and focus on the last 20 years. Expansion is in the blood of the Big 10 and they’ve acted on it. They tried many times and failed but were able to pull one team in the fold. So let’s ring up the good Doctor and fly away in the TARDIS back to the start of the Big 10.
