Barspotting: Championship Saturday At Lew’s Grill & Bar

Every year we go back to the best bar of the year and this time around it’s Lew’s Grill & Bar.  It’s a solid performer that doesn’t let us down in terms of big game watching.   Sure it’s small for its size, but it packs a punch in terms of factors for a great place to watch sports.  So we’ll try one last time to get Das Boot and watch the SEC Championship Game as well as the Civil War.   What, no Big 12 Championship Game?  Welp, I will be at a company holiday party while it’s going on and for this weekend, an open bar trumps a title game with Nebraska in it.

When: Saturday, December 4 2010
Time: 2:00 PM
Where: Lew’s Grill & Bar, 7539 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO 64114 816.444.8080

Notes:  The last big week before the bowl games.  Yeah I know, Army vs Navy is coming up next week but this is where all of the dust settles for the regular season and we get to see who goes to the big bowls.  On one hand, you have a rivalry game called The Civil War that will determine if Oregon will go to the BCS Championship Game.  On the other hand, you have the toughest football conference in the SEC holding their championship game where Auburn will see if they will go to the BCS Championship Game.  Two blockbuster games in one day.  Oh, we have the Big 12 Championship Game with the last rivalry game for awhile between Oklahoma and Nebraska.  All I can say is, “Boomer Sooner!”
