It’s been awhile but I’m finally back again. College football saw it’s first playoff last year and, although the Big 12 wasn’t represented, we were entertained. That’s all we can ask. So it’s Thanksgiving weekend which makes it kinda funny that it’s also Hate Week. Welp even though I missed last Saturday due to some sweet Austin City Limits Music Festival action, I was able to see some of the destruction. Man oh man, last week is what makes college football so special. Upsets a plenty. So college football needs some relief and we have it coming up this weekend. Another week of college football is in the books and it was a weekend where Kansas State didn’t play. They are getting ready for Auburn this Thursday. So to make up for it, I decided to go with something a little more colorful for food. And boy did it ever come through. It’s fajita time.
I basically took this recipe from Apple and Sparkle. What I did different, however, is what knocked it out of the proverbial food park. I added some liquid smoke and cinnamon for the marinade on the sirloin (not skirt) steak. I also added some pineapple and hatch peppers to the grill list. It was absolutely fantastic.

With Kansas State not playing a game until a week from today, I’d figure I wouldn’t talk too much about the games coming up this weekend. But then last week the worst of the worst happened to Big 10 and it compelled me to peak at what the Big 12 had coming up this week.
