Okay so I didn’t watch football this weekend. I know, it kinda sucks. But hey, I did get to see some tasty music at Fun Fun Fun Fest. I make amends by talking about what I missed, which includes Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Collin Klein, Daniel Sams, Texas, Texas Tech, Iowa State, Kansas, Baylor, TCU, Gary Patterson, Bill Snyder, Notre Dame, USC, Pitt, Oregon, Alabama, LSU, Les Miles, Texas A&M, and the BCS Continue reading Purple Yeti Roar 42: Fun Fun Fun Football

Pick It and Stick It: Bye Bye Love
It’s a little late but why the hell not. I’m going to dump out another Pick It and Stick It. It’s a bye week for Kansas State and this week’s games are hardly that interesting. But I poked and prodded around and found a couple of good reasons to flap my gums about the weekend’s games. Much to no one’s surprise, the games I’m into this weekend are from the Big 12. Continue reading Pick It and Stick It: Bye Bye Love

Kansas State Football Preview 2012: Always The Underdog
Another year of Kansas State football is upon us and there’s some weird mixed feelings going on. Maybe not in Manhattan, but certainly down here in Austin and in this Purple Yeti’s abode. You see, part of me wants to believe that Kansas State will improve upon its amazing record from last year, but another wants to believe in the negative hype the so called sports media jams down my throat. Is everyone writing off Kansas State too easily, or will reality hit hard for the little Wildcats from the Little Apple? Continue reading Kansas State Football Preview 2012: Always The Underdog
A Better Big 12 For 2012
Ah yeah, the Big 12 is back baby! Oh well, it didn’t really go anywhere. Compared to last year, this offseason was a walk in the park. Why is that? Well, we have some new faces in the mix and some old faces hit the road. I think truly for the first time in the last 3 years, there is some stability here. That makes me happy. What makes me happier is the new season so let’s see how this conference shakes out. Continue reading A Better Big 12 For 2012

Bowl Pick It and Stick It 2011: A Happily Bloated New Year’s
It’s weird getting ready to sit down and watch college football on January 2nd versus watching it on New Year’s Day. Usually, I would stumble over late to a friend’s house to kick off the new year by watching football, gloming myself with food, getting drunk, playing some board games, and being as lazy as humanly possible. This year, it’s watching everything online, eating some food, and not making a singular play on a game of boards. The good thing is that I can adjust. Unfortunately, the adjustments don’t look so hot for my Bowl Pick It and Stick It Standings. Let’s take a look:

Christmas scored well with me and I hope the holiday was in your top 5. There was just a sprinkle of games in the last week, with the brunt of the bowls starting this afternoon with Missouri and North Carolina in the Independence Bowl. So, with confidence points teetering the scores wildly, how did everyone in the pick set do? Let’s find out.
